Just as our students come from a wide range of backgrounds—from anthropology to computer science to journalism—as alumni, they go on to apply their learning in an equally wide range of fields and industries.
The power of this diverse ID alumni community is demonstrated in how ID alumni continue to give back, support current students, and engage in our programs. Fellowships named for alumni Grace Colby, Sam Farber, Robert Skyer, and Charles Harrison help fund ID degrees for new students while honoring these important ID figures. And year after year, ID alumni participate in recruitID and hire recent graduates.

Alumni work in a range of roles after ID. The most popular titles upon graduation include Design Researcher, Strategist, Innovation Consultant, and Service Designer. As they gain increasing experience, they become C-level executives, founders and co-founders—leading international design teams.
